How much do lessons cost?
For individual bookings lessons are £30 per hour/£22.50 for 45 mins/£15 for 30 mins. However if you bulk book a month's worth of lessons this gets reduced to £25 per hour/£18.75 for 45 mins/£12.50 for 30 mins.
How do I pay for lessons?
You can either pay the at the end of the lesson, or pay monthly upfront, for a discount.
What do I do in my lessons?
Whatever you want to do, I tailor my lessons to suit the pupils individual needs.
Do you teach at home, or travel?
Please get in contact to discuss teaching locations as I have a number of teaching hubs around Chichester. It is hard for me to find time for visitation lessons because of the travel time, but I will try to make things work. Please note, there will be a charge that varies upon distance traveled, please get in contact to find out more.
Can I sit in with my child's lesson?
Yes, in fact, I prefer it if a parent sits in with a young child, certainly for the first fews lessons, as it helps put the child at ease if there is a familiar face there.
What happens if I can’t make a lesson?
I require 24 hours notice, if not I still need to be paid, though I will always try to reschedule so you don’t lose your money.
Do you work through a grade syllabus?
Yes, I use different boards, as different genres are suited to different exams! The decision to work through the grades should be pupils though, as it’s important they enjoy and want to work on the guitar.
What is the youngest age you will teach?
The youngest I will teach is 7, I’ve had experience with younger children, and they often have problems stretching for the notes on the guitars.
